My grandfather has just give me a Gaf Super 8 Movie camera model XL 112 of what he used to use when I was 4 years old and younger and he passed the movie camera down to his grandson. Then I tested the camera and everything works. I even bought one roll of Kodachrome 40 K-14 process and took a movie of my family. then when I get it processed at a local camera shop in my home town, they said that kodak does not processed super 8 film anymore but they told me where to get it processed at Rocky Mountain Film Laboratory with cost almost $30.00 to process the film. It has now been 1 month and I have not got the movie back yet. I have been reading other resent messages on this forum and for what I saw that kodak still does Kodachrome 40 k-14 processing. Does wal-mart still processed Super 8 Film? Thanks for taking the time to reed all of this?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Chalk it up to a learning experience cause you paid about $20 too much. Kodachrome K-14 movie film is only processed in 2 places. One is Dwaynes lab in Kansas. Web address below.Originally posted by Chris Bolton:

The other is Kodaks lab in Switzerland. Kodak now sells Kodachrome film with a mailer or you can buy a mailer seperately online at Adorama Camera or also at B&H photo (google search for address) among other places. The mailer is sent to New Jersey then from there they send it to Switzerland or Dwaynes for processing and back to you in about 2 weeks.
Rocky Mountain Lab can't process the film you sent them so they will outlab it to one of the two places above. So they are just a middle man for your film which is one reason why it is taking so long.
Walmart is also just a middle man and Kodachrome movie film given to them goes to Dwaynes lab. As a side note many Walmarts on the East Coast seem to be out of the mix as far as getting the film to Dwaynes correctly so if you live there like me don't bother with Walmart. If you do try Walmart I guess your suppose to write "Super 8 movie film" in the special instructions box.
